Nerd Nite London is a monthly event where three speakers give 18-21 minute fun-yet-informative talks across all disciplines, while the audience drinks along.
We’re back for 2026 with a severe need for nerdy distraction from the news.
So there’s a hopeful look at how design can help combat discrimination in diagnosing skin disorders in people of colour.
A look at some species that are maybe less annoying than humans – insects and their incredible communication skills.
Plus an impressive telling of the story of the ‘printer’s fist’ – that pointing hand, a kind of ur-emoji seen in everything from the Domesday book to the United States Postal Service.
Address: St Matthias Halls, Wordsworth Rd, N16 8DD
Details: Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
Bar from 7pm, event start at 7.30pm.
